Delegations from thirty members of the International Network of Financial Centers for Sustainability (FC4S) gathered in Geneva in October. On this occasion, Switzerland was pleased to organize a sustainable finance week that culminated in the Building Bridges Summit on October 10 that brought together 800 high level participants, 26 partners, and 36 speakers.
With this initiative, Switzerland crystallized the ‘Building Bridges’ vision into a reality, positioning its sustainable finance ecosystem as a clear unique selling proposition for the world.
All feedback confirms that this ‘first-of-its-kind’ initiative was a milestone, a benchmark, that has laid the groundwork for promising future endeavors. It is now widely agreed that we have an extraordinary ecosystem with latent potential for deriving profit with a purpose.
Since October, the future of Building Bridges has been discussed from Zurich to Bern and on both side of Lake Geneva, with many great ideas and big ambitions for sustainable finance and Switzerland.
With the success achieved in the first edition, we are all looking forward to bringing this initiative to the next level.
Organized jointly by Sustainable Finance Geneva, Swiss Sustainable Finance and the Geneva Financial Center, this landmark Event was the result of a successful collaboration between the financial community and representatives of International Geneva and the federal, cantonal and municipal authorities.
