Pioneering Sustainable Finance Infrastructure

In a world where closing the financial gap to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) remains a global priority, Sustainable Finance Geneva (SFG) is proud to support SWISOX — an independent startup building the infrastructure sustainable finance actually needs.

Launched with the support of the Swiss National Science Foundation and key philanthropic partners, SWISOX was incubated by SFG and is now an independent social enterprise. Its mission: create a trusted, transparent, and science-based marketplace for sustainable companies — starting with a new, rigorous way to classify what “sustainable” means.

Mission

SWISOX is pioneering a next-generation approach to sustainable finance, focused on:

  • Defining sustainability through a transparent, taxonomy-based classification system — aligned with global regulation and grounded in science
  • Enabling visibility and capital access for companies that meet strict sustainability benchmarks
  • Democratizing sustainable investing by developing tools that allow institutional and retail investors to engage with credible, vetted sustainable companies.
